Mama Circle
A gentle online presence to support new mothers, built from love and code
Mama Circle is a lightweight website and manifesto project that supports postpartum connection through a shared hashtag and simple web presence.I wrote, designed, coded, and published the site myself, guided by a desire to offer new mamas something I wish I had have.It was my first experience "vibe coding", using mostly Codex to help me get where I wanted to.
Highlights
- Vibe coding: I wrote the site in plain HTML/CSS, making creative decisions in the browser and barely touching Figma. It was fast and liberating.
- AI pair-programming: Used Codex do the heavy lifting and co-create.
- No user data: Prioritised safety, with clear disclaimers and email-only opt-out for testimonials.
