Amplify Tablet

Amplify Tablet

The idea of Amplify is to reimagine the way teachers teach and students learn. Together with my team in Porto Alegre (Brazil) and NYC (US), I created parts of the teacher and student experiences in an Android in-class platform.

The idea of Amplify is to reimagine the way teachers teach and students learn.

They want to enable teachers to manage whole classrooms and, at the same time, empower them to offer more personalized instruction so that students become more active and engaged learners.

Amplify based their entire product in deep field user research in schools to get to a tablet solution that would not replace existing tools, but rather enhance the classroom experience.

I joined the project as the only designer in Brazil, which was a huge challenge and learning experience. Being remote requires a lot of discipline and communication, especially in a Lean model of product development.

My work was mostly on interaction design and it was very important that I could travel to New York from time to time to collaborate with the client’s designers and meet some groups of users to run interviews and focus groups, validate assumptions and solutions, design critiques, etc.
